Coxless Rower in assembly.

Emma Mitchell, an ex Danesfield pupil, came into assembly today to talk about her forthcoming row across the Pacific! She is one of a team of four women attempting to be the first all-female team to row the Pacific Ocean.  Not content with one 'first', they hope to be the first ever team of four to row the Pacific and are aiming to be the fastest ever rowers to cross the Pacific.  They will row 8,446 miles from America to Australia, and in the process aim to raise a quarter of a million pounds for their two charities Walking With the Wounded and Breast Cancer Care.   The children were inspired by her presentation, and will be following her progress once she starts in April.  Their website is:   If you would like to view the assembly presentation, please click here.
