All children at the school are entitled to a broad,
balanced and relevant Education regardless of
age, gender, race, creed or individual needs. It is
our aim to do the very best for each child in the
school, catering for their individual needs and
developing their potential as fully as possible.
Danesfield encourages independence,
self advocacy, respect for others and the
development and maintenance of self-esteem
as integral to the teaching of all pupils at the school.
All children at Danesfield are regarded by the
school to be ‘special’ and all have their own
‘special needs’ which the school tries to meet.
Some children however have extra special needs,
be that at either end of the educational spectrum.
These children are supported as appropriate
by the school’s special educational needs
Co-ordinator. The full school policy is available
from the school office.
